Pickrate (pick-rate.com) is a free agent-readiness scanner for hotel websites, a hosted agent page for hotels, and an MCP server that lets AI agents search hotels and get direct-booking links. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to reach us.
What we collect
- Website addresses you scan. We fetch the public pages of the address you paste, score them, and cache the result for up to 7 days so repeat scans are fast.
- Email addresses you give us. Only when you type one in: to receive a report, to unlock a competitor benchmark, to register a hotel page, or to get a weekly agent report. We use it for that purpose and for product updates about Pickrate. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Hotel details you register. Name, address, rates, policies and contact details you enter for your hotel's agent page. These are published on purpose: the page exists so AI agents can read them.
- Usage analytics. Anonymous page views and clicks (via PostHog) to understand which parts of the product work. We do not sell this data.
- MCP server requests. When an AI agent calls our MCP server we log the request type, the hotel or site asked about, and the client name the agent announces. We count these per hotel so hotel owners can see agent interest. We do not receive the traveller's identity or conversation.
- Booking attribution. When a hotel installs our optional pixel, we receive a booking reference, amount and currency for bookings that started from a Pickrate link, to calculate the hotel's fee. We never receive guest names, card numbers or contact details.
What we do not collect
No payment details, no guest identities, no passwords. We do not read AI conversations; we only see the search terms an agent sends to our tools.

Retention and deletion
Scan results expire after 7 days. Hotel pages and weekly metrics stay as long as the page is registered. Email us and we delete your email address, your hotel page and all metrics about it within 7 days. Hotel owners can also delete their page from their management link.
